In 2006 after 15 years of selling beautiful and unusual art and design books at Greville St Bookstore, we decided to extend our enterprises into the realms above and opened IMP, an exhibition space dedicated to the delights of the visual arts and to the incredibly talented makers we have encountered over the years around Melbourne and further afield.

IMP is an innovative, contemporary, commercial art space dedicated to showing and promoting emerging and more established artists, craftspeople and designers. IMP implies a mischievous, irreverent but affectionate attitude without pretensions. In that spirit we are committed to showing affordable work by a variety of talented practitioners. Though our primary focus is on works on paper, we welcome all submissions from both artists and curators for individual and group shows. Imp is also available for single day/evening events and artist talks/forums.
